Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician

 

This is an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to engage in the servicing and maintenance of all types of automobiles and light trucks. This program includes instruction in the diagnosis and testing, including computer analysis, of malfunctions in and repair of engines, fuel, electrical, cooling and brake systems, drive trains and suspension systems. Instruction is also given in the adjustment and repair of individual components and systems such as fuel system components and air conditioning, and includes the use of technical repair information and the procedures for state inspection.

  • Leather work boots

  • CMTHS Auto Tech T-shirt

  • School supplies: notebook, 3-ring binder, pens/pencils, calculator, flash drive.

  • CMTHS will provide 1 pair of safety glasses free of charge for entering level one students. If returning students do not have a pair, they will be required to purchase a pair to work in the shop; replacement glasses are available for $2.00 each

SOAR/Articulation

Articulation Agreements are cooperative arrangements for granting admission and college credit to students who are continuing their education.  Central Montco Technical High School has articulated its programs with a wide range of colleges and technical schools resulting in college credit or priority placement for CMTHS students.
