APPLY TO CMTHS

High School Application & Admission Requirements

  • Who May Apply to Attend CMTHS?

Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 who reside in the Colonial, Norristown, Upper Merion & Lower Merion Districts may apply to attend CMTHS.

Students must complete the online application as the first step in the application process. For high school students who are not enrolled at above school districts (students who are home-schooled, or attending charter, private school or parochial school, etc.), must meet with their school counselor who can then contact us at admissions@cmths.org.

  • How is Admission Granted?

Enrollment at CMTHS is limited. Therefore, each applicant is evaluated based on the information provided in the application. Only complete applications will be reviewed, and admission will be granted until all openings in that program are filled. The remaining applicants are then placed on a waiting list for potential placement as openings occur in those programs.

  • Application Deadline!

Since there are a limited number of openings each year, students should have their application on file at CMTHS by January 20 for the next school year. Applications submitted after the first round of application submissions will be considered on a space available basis.

Disability-Related Access and Supports

CMTHS does not discriminate based on disability and complies fully with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and applicable Pennsylvania special education regulations.

Students with disabilities are entitled to equal access to CMTHS programs and services. Appropriate accommodations, modifications, and supports will be provided in coordination with the student’s IEP or Section 504 Plan. This includes all students eligible under IDEA’s 13 disability categories and students qualifying for protections and services under Section 504.

In accordance with IDEA and Pennsylvania regulations, CMTHS participates in IEP team meetings when it is being considered as part of a student’s placement, including during referrals. This ensures appropriate planning, coordination, and adherence to procedural safeguards
